The area is ideal for touring as it is only a 'stone's throw' away from the historic City of Wells, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury with its famous Tor and Clarke's Village where you are sure to find a bargain amongst all those famous named factory shops. The seaside towns of Weston-Super-Mare, Burnham and Brean are close by and the cities of Bath and Bristol are approximately 35-40 minutes, both with park and ride facilities.
Dates to Remember
Glastonbury Extravaganza - This superb event takes place in and around the Glastonbury Abbey ruins. You can picnic, buy food there and the dress code is anything from a dinner jacket to jeans and t-shirt. Nigel Kennedy to opera singers have played or sung classical music. As darkness closes in candles twinkle and coloured fountains of water dance to the music. The grand finalé is a fireworks display that is not to be missed!

Somerset Carnivals - The famous carnivals celebrating the Battle of Sedgemoor is a sight that must not go unseen. These internationally renowned events are one of the biggest in Europe. This marvel of light and sound creates a wonderful party atmosphere and is a must see!
